School admission for the year 2023 has started. The admission for public and private schools from cities and various districts started on November 16th. Like the previous year, this year the results will be determined through the lottery.
Like the previous year, the Government School Admission System (GSA) will publish the Primary and High school admission circular for the 2023-2024 session on the first week of December like last year. In this post, we will discuss the admission date, application procedure, and some other important news.
School Admission for the 2023 session
School admission for all public and private schools started on 16th November. The admission will remain open until 6th December up to 5:00 PM. After all the admission is closed, there will be a lottery to select students just like last time. The lottery for the public schools will be conducted on 10th December and for private schools will be conducted on 13th December. The entire admission process will be concluded on 28th December.
No application form will be supplied from the respective schools. The only way to apply for admission is through websites. The lottery will be conducted digitally and that is how the students will be selected.
How to Apply
Like before, you cannot collect any admission from the schools. In order to apply you have to visit the Teletalk website (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd) and apply for admission from there. You also have to pay an admission fee of Tk.110 from any pre-paid Teletalk number. You can select up to 5 schools of your choosing. For class 1 admission, the student’s age must be 6 or more.
If a quota is present, then the offspring of teachers/staff can be admitted to their respective schools without an online application. If you want to apply for admission here’s the process:
- Go to https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd
- Select public or private school admission
- Fill out the form with authentic information (Name, Date of birth, gender, mobile number, etc.)
- Provide the parent’s name and NID
- Select grade (Class 1-9)
- Provide present and permanent address
- Select version, division, etc.
- Then click on “বিদ্যালয়ের তালিকা দেখান” button to get the list of schools
- Upload a recent photo of the student. The size must be 300×300 pixels and below 100KB
- Finally, click on the checkbox at the bottom to acknowledge that all the information you provided is authentic, and click on the “Submit” button.
If there are any details that are incorrect, the form will not be submitted. So carefully fill out the form and then submit it. After that, you have to pay the admission fine of Tk. 110 from any pre-paid Teletalk number. That is basically how you can apply for admission.

The admission process for 2022-2023 remains the same. You have to apply for admission online and pay your admission fee. Finally, the results will be decided by a lottery. The decision will be announced later so keep in touch with the website as the lottery will be digital.
