As the 2022 SSC exam result has been published, now the admission of the XI class for the 2022-2023 academic year is now open. After a long lockdown due to the pandemic, the schools, colleges, and universities started their normal operations earlier this year. Since the COVID situation is under control, the authorities decided to conduct the SSC and HSC exams normally.
Now that the SSC exam and result publishing are over, students can start applying for admission to colleges where they want to study. In our article, we’ll discuss how to apply for XI class admission and also college admission requirements.
First things first, the admission process will be conducted online. There will be no admission test. The students will need to apply for their preferred colleges via a government website. There are predetermined dates for the admission procedures. So the candidates must proceed according to the authority’s guidelines.
Notice regarding XI class admission
The online admission for the XI class started on 8th December 2022. The admission circular for Higher Secondary Education was published on the official website for class 11 admission. From all the available information, we came to know the following:
- Online Application for XI Admission: 8th December
- College choices: 5-10 colleges
- Intermediate classes will start from 1st Feburary
- Admission Portal: xiclassadmission.gov.bd
The board authorities have published the intermediate admission circulars for the 2022-2023 academic year. You will be given one college from your choice list. The college selection will be decided according to the seating capacity of the colleges as well as your SSC GPA. No admission test will be taken.
The XI class admission is controlled by the Education Ministry of Bangladesh. All the students who have passed the SSC examination may apply for the XI class. However, each college has its own GPA requirements.
List of colleges students can apply for class xi admission
As we just mentioned, each college has its own seat capacity and minimum GPA requirements. A notice was posted on the official website of Dhaka Education Board that consists of a number of Colleges and their shifts, group, minimum GPA, number of available seats, etc.
Different colleges have different GPA requirements. For example, the B. A. F. Shaheen College (KURMITOLA) has a minimum GPA requirement of 5.00 for the Science group of English and Bangla medium. But for Business, the minimum GPA requirement is 4.25 and for Humanities is 3.50. Visit the following link for a list of all colleges.

How to apply for XI Class Admission
The students of the General Board, Madrasa, Technical Board, will have to apply through the online admission system. First, you have to visit the official website and submit the online admission application. Here are the steps you must take to apply for online admission.
- Go to the http://xiclassadmission.gov.bd website
- Click on ‘Apply Now’ button
- Select your board name and enter the registration number
- Enter your personal phone number
- Then select the college preference (5 to 10)
- Preview the application and submit
The application fee is Tk.150 which you must pay either through mobile banking apps such as bKash, Nagad, etc. or you can use a Teletalk sim. But be careful when providing your mobile number because all the important information regarding the admission will be notified through this number.
You can change your college choice list, but it’s best to be sure before you can apply. So make a list of your favorite colleges before you start to apply. Classes will start from 1st February.
The admission time for XI Class will start on 8th December. Remember, you have to apply through the online system. Just head over to the official website of XI Class admission and apply online. You can select from 5 to 10 colleges of your choosing. Depending on the number of available seats and your SSC GPA, you will be given a chance to select one of the colleges from your choice list.
